Dow clings to gains Tuesday
NEW YORK, Walk 2 (UPI) - U.S. markets held on Tuesday's gains without thinking of a slide at the end of the average Dow Jones Industrial.
Up over 33 points in noon trading midday, the Dow Jones held onto a gain of 2.19 point to end up 0.02 percent to 10,405.98. The Standard & Poor's 500 Guide rose 0.23 percent, 2.60 points at 1118.31. The Nasdaq composite list of tech-dominated stocks added 0.32 percent, 7.22 points at 2280.79.
Grandmother on the New York Stock Exchange, 2127 stocks advanced and 895 declined on a book of 4.1 billion shares traded.
The benchmark 10-year resources bill in the United States fell 1 / 32 to yield 3.61 percent.
The prostrate euro of $ 1.3607 on Monday from $ 1.3609. Against the yen, the dollar fell to ¥ 88.79 from ¥ 88.72.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.49 pointer percent, 49.78 points at 10,221.84.
In Britain, the FTSE 100 index rose 1.45 percent, 78.12, to 5484.06.
On Tuesday, the Reserve Bank of Australia has raised its bank loan-to-largest bank share for the fourth time since October.

Crowd was pumped for Kansas

Feb. 16--As around 800 students stood in the unhesitatingly outside Reed Arena on Monday afternoon, many posed two questions while waiting to keep an eye on the Aggies challenge the number one ranked Kansas Jayhawks: Will the Aggies win? And should the students scuttle the court if they did?
The answer to the first question was no. We'll never know the answer to the second.
The overflowing house sat at the edge of their seats, or stood in front of them, for most of Monday night's nationally televised game, but they never had the possibility to run onto the floor as Kansas squeaked out the late victory, 59-54. Still, it was one of the most dissonant and exciting games Reed Arena has ever seen.
It was a memorable nightfall, but the buildup began days earlier.
