Beach, reef cleanup on March 7
Lahaina - The Surfrider Foundation Maui Chapter will host two events to clean Puamana Seashore and rally his members.
Chapter Joins Trilogy Excursions in sponsoring a "Aina Morose" Reef and beach cleaning, from 9 am to 1 pm March 7. Volunteers must at 8:30 am at Trilogy at Lahaina Harbor.
The organizers will provide refreshments. Participants are asked to put more than one product, where appropriate, snorkeling gear, scissors, knives, diving and mesh bags and their own meals. A suggested donation of $ 10 will also benefit the Blue 'Aina Program and widespread support Surfrider Maui.
During the cleanup of past years, volunteers have removed and sell fish nets, bottles, cans, carpets, mooring lines and part of an in-floor boat reefs and beaches. This chapter aims to clean up 12 reefs over 12 months.

It is believed that Royal Solomon wrote, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under seventh heaven.” I am more aware of the truth behind Solomon’s verse today than any other, as I keep one's eyes peeled my youngest splash in the emerald-green waters of the Gulf. He is playing at large, without responsibility, worry or care. Yet this season of his life is about to expire, for my Colin-Finn starts kindergarten next week. Homework, information and peer pressure bob on his horizon, like the sun setting over the waters.
A part of me wishes I could propound onto him — “Hold him back just one more year,” I tell myself. For I will long for our early morning cartoons, he with his chocolate milk and I with my coffee. I will failure our bike rides to the park, racing back in time to pick up his older brothers from view. I will miss his favorite picture books on rainy afternoons.
