Should the federal government snowproof Metro?
There seems to be a correlation between the availability of leading transit and whether or not the federal offices open. Generally, the closure announcements came shortly after Metro announced that their ground stations above will be closed.Certainly other factors relevant to be involved, such as plowing parking lots and roads, but transit unconcealed seems to be one of the primary factors dictating.
OPM closed the offices of many antique when the big storm hit Friday and the entire government has been closed since. For six and a half days.Thinking that the weekend did not pay as much to cancel, this snow storm has probably cost the federal supervision of a half-billion dollars.
That these closures usually occur once or twice a year, against eight or nine hours, we had this year. Still, over all, it gets billions of dollars. How much would it cost the federal government to find clear over subway tracks?
